Oh if that was the case, he might learn something about social services creation and rapid response. If the saying "citizens get the leadership they deserve" is valid, I'm sorry for the people of New Orleans and the U.S.
Let's send FEMA directors, other federal leaders, Ray Nagin and Kathleen Blanco to Lebanon to see how quickly Jihad Construction has started the rebuilding process.
It's unfortunate that governments such as the state of Louisiana, with such great resources, lacks so much leadership. It also seems like a catch 22, with poor leaders creating poor systems, and poor systems tolerating poor leadership. I think government routinely creates catch 22's for it's citizenry. This is the inherent problem with government, or for that matter, most large organizations i.e. Ford and General Motors.
Let's look at Immigration, which is a perfect example of suicide by bureaucratic stupidity. The bureaucracy of the INS allows an almost free flow of illegal immigration into the U.S., creating stress on social services and a breakdown of first world quality of life here. They then are unable to protect current citizens, fund services and assimilate the people coming to the country, creating even larger problems. Our bureaucrats create the problems, then they exasperate them by not being able to manage their systems.
Citizens deserve the leadership they get? Call two representatives today and complain.
